“I felt like one of the kids in the canoe. I was excited about being out there all week. I was probably a little fidgety during the instructions because I could not wait to get in the canoe. It was amazing to behold the beauty of the lagoons—the lily pads, frogs and the butterflies were amazing. I hope every young person gets to behold this beauty—right in the city of Gary.” Thanks for paddling with us, Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson! #Canoemobile2016 #EveryKidinaPark #kidsneednature
Central Elementary 4th graders learned how plants spread their seeds on the banks of Lake George in Hobart this morning for their fall #mightyacorns study trip, right before they paddled voyageur canoes with @wildernessinquiry and cut invasive species with @heinzetrust. It's been a great fall partnering with #canoemobile, we look forward to next year's canoe trips! #kidsneednature #natureneedskids #canoe
