Practice some mindful self-care with a sweet 3-day retreat in the Indiana dunes. You’ll spend the weekend immersed in nature, enjoying activities ranging from challenging to indulgent. We'll get the party started with a reception and dinner, followed by a flashlight-free night hike. You'll experience the night sky, learn new constellations, and “talk” with owls as you trek after dark. Afterwards, we’ll gather around a campfire to compare notes and toast marshmallows before heading to our cozy cabins for a good night’s sleep.
Saturday morning will start with a Shaklee smoothie bar and healthy breakfast, followed by a chance to find “Your Personality Color” with Michelle Irzyk and Lisa Smith. The fun will continue as you head outside in teams to discover your strengths—and Dunes Learning Center’s beautiful Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore campus. After lunch, break-out sessions will offer mandala making, improv for success, and stress relief featuring puppy therapy (yes, there will be puppies) with Lakeshore PAWS founder, Jeanne Sommer.
After a sunset beach hike with National Park Service ranger, Kim Swift, and dinner with live music by Eve Senderhauf, the pampering will begin! Available treats and treatments include henna tattoos, skincare, massage, acupuncture, aromatherapy, and intuitive readings. We’ll quiet our minds and reflect on the day with pajama yoga before turning in for the night.
The weekend will wrap up with a final round of smoothies; a door prize drawing for a $100 "Healthy Pantry Makeover," bag from Whole Foods Market, Schererville; and an introspection activity. You’ll get one last chance to hike our trails before heading back into the world—renewed and restored! Space is limited. You must be over the age of 21 to attend. Sorry, no boys allowed.
