Batty for Bats!

October is a great time to learn about our native Indiana bats! Annette Hansen, executive director of Izaak Walton League’s Porter County Chapter, will speak about native tree and colony bats, their habits and migration. She will talk about wildlife monitoring/data collection, give tips on what folks can do in their own yards to support bats and how they can get involved in citizen science.

Annette Hansen is the Executive Director of Izaak Walton League's Porter County Chapter. PCC is exclusively involved in nature conservation and education. She has been leading her chapter volunteers in bat monitoring and habitat restoration since 2018.
