Internship: Interpretive Naturalist
Develop your naturalist, outdoor education, and resource interpretation skills and techniques through this 12-month (June-May) program that offers intensive training in partnership with the National Park Service (NPS). As a key member of the program delivery team, you will teach children and adults about the diversity of ecosystems, plants and animals, and the cultural history of Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and the southern Lake Michigan region.

Internship: Behavioral Health Support
Develop your behavioral health support skills in a summer camp environment, along with naturalist/outdoor education skills. Working with camp leadership, you will identify and manage campers with MESH challenges, as well as communicate with campers, families, and staff about care, prevention, and support techniques.

Internship: Summer Cabin Leader
Develop your outdoor education and resource interpretation skills and techniques while serving as a positive role model for summer campers. You'll have the opportunity to shadow National Park Service rangers and naturalists when you supervise campers overnight in your cabin and lead activities including meals, flag raising, campfires, games and hikes.

Kitchen Worker (Part-time)
Under the general supervision of the Food and Facilities Director, the Kitchen Worker is responsible for the preparation of meals, routine kitchen duties, cleaning of kitchen and equipment. In addition, they are expected to be service orientated to insure safe, healthy and enjoyable meals.

Develop leadership skills by working alongside Dunes Learning Center staff! Open to campers who have attended camp for at least two consecutive summers.
