2023-2024 School Year

All experiences at Dunes Learning Center have been thoughtfully designed to deliver our signature environmental education, while maintaining the safest possible environment.

Dunes Learning Center has developed policies and procedures for operations based on guidelines put forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Indiana Department of Health, Porter County Health Department, and the American Camp Association to reduce the spread of infectious diseases, including COVID-19.

We will work closely with the teachers and schools to meet any necessary health and safety protocols. Please contact us with any questions.

While At Dunes Learning Center

MASKS
Masks may be worn by any participant at their discretion. If a participant begins to show symptoms, they may be asked to wear a mask, which will be provided if necessary.

PARTICIPANT HEALTH - Before and During Onsite Program
If any participant has known exposure to Covid-19 or other illness, we ask that they do not come to Dunes Learning Center as detailed on the Participant Form. If anyone displays symptoms at any point during the program, they may be asked to leave campus.

CABINS
Cabins can hold up to 8 people (7 students and 1 adult chaperone). Occupancy rates will be determined by the school. Cabin fans and windows can be used to increase ventilation, and furnaces have been equipped with high efficiency air filters. Cabins are thoroughly cleaned between groups.

HAND WASHING/SANITIZATION
Frequent breaks for hand washing or sanitization will be provided.
